The "Nice Trip" tee by MENACE © was inspired by the 60's drug culture. During this era drugs were not seen as a bad thing, but rather they were seen as  way to improve one's life by aiding with pains or stress. Marijuana and psychedelic drugs were known to heighten sensitivity and creativity and thus came an outpouring of musical and artistic talent during the 60's. Psychedelic art, rock n' roll hit songs, and colorful fashion were a direct result of the experimentation of drugs by the hippie movement. However, the dark side of drugs would quickly reveal its ugly side. By dropping acid and going through these "trips", as the users would call it, came the risk of going through a horrible episode that can be best described as a an extreme freak-out filled with super anxiety, weird hallucinations, and hyper-alertness. This side-effect quickly became known as a "bad trip" yet hippies and stoners alike still embarked on these spiritual journeys in hopes of reaching their euphoric states.
